First dry fit the countertop to ensure an accurate fit. Now press them down gently to ensure that they adhere to the cabinets beneath them. You will have your dishwashers secured in no time. Be sure to lower the slab onto the adhesive while it s still wet. Drilling into granite requires special tools and expertise and could fracture the slab if done wrong. Attach your quartz slabs to the cabinets with the adhesive beads. We checked with several cabinet and countertop installers and they all suggested using an adhesive.

Be sure to place pressure sticks along the back corners where the corner blocks are located to get the countertop down tight. When lifting the countertop take extra care to support the granite where it is thin such as along cutouts. Place pressure sticks every 12 to 18 inches to help the adhesive bond the countertop to the cabinets at the back edge and apply clamps to the front edge. After applying the adhesive carefully lower each quartz slab into place over the beads.

They simply screw a metal plate on to the adjacent cabinets and the job is done. Keep in mind that unsealed stone absorbs stains easier and presents more of a challenge to clean. Apply second bead on top of sink rim to waterproof the gap between the sink and the countertop. Apply polyurethane sealant to the lip beneath the edges of the sink.
